Broadway’s Melissa Errico
Melissa Errico has starred in seven Broadway musicals and released several major solo CDs: Blue Like That (EMI/Capitol Records), Lullabies and Wildflowers (VMG/Universal), Legrand Affair (Ghostlight/Sony) and the most recent (2015) What About Today? Melissa Errico Live at 54 Below (Broadway Records) which was followed up immediately by a DVD. Her digital release More Lullabies and Wildflowers was released on Mother’s Day 2015 as a benefit for the tenth anniversary of her charity, The Bowery Babes, a NY 501c-3. She has been called everything from “divine” to “the voice of enchantment” to “one of the most valuable assets of the musical theater” by the New York Times, as well as “incandescent” (New York Daily News) and “blessed with every attribute a grand dame of Broadway requires: star power, voice, looks, ability, personality, technique. An aphrodisiac, as it were, that galvanizes a musical into life,” (Clive Barnes). “Earthy and soulful, she both sparkles and is unmannered,” (USA Today).
Errico has worked steadily in non-musical roles as well as in front of the camera, starring in a network TV series Central Park West written by Darren Star, and doing guest and recurring roles steadily throughout her career.
